Did you capture the American Idol finals in 2015 in between Taylor Hicks and Catherine What’s Her Name? Who won? The one with the best voice? Or the one with the most character?
I’m gon na inform you a secret, something no one ever informs business owners. It’s not about being the very best! It never was. Yet so many business owners waste their time and money bragging about being the best. “We offer the very best doohickeys …” “We provide the very best customer care …” ‘
It’s dopey to extol being the very best! Why? ‘Cause
1. Everybody says it.
2. It’s probably not real.
3. We do not think you anyhow
But don’t fret about it, ’cause
4. We’re not constantly trying to find the best.
Are they the finest? Not 30 years ago when the song came out and certainly not now. In some way a geriatric Rod got to wiggle his assets on American Idol along with Taylor Hicks!
The “It” Factor
In showbiz, there’s an expression “You’ve got ‘it’.” What’s “it”?
The factor they call it “it” is since it’s tough to put it into words. It’s got something to do with charm, magnetism, the power to hold an audience and attract. Frankly, Rod Stewart never ever did it for me, but Elvis absolutely had “it”.
Access Your Inner Elvis
I just saw a motion picture about Elvis’ life. Why are people so amazed by Elvis? Due to the fact that a character that big never dies.
Why was the guy such a star? Was it his appearance, his character, his voice, his music? It’s probably all of those things– together with this magical thing called “it”, however even with Elvis, it took him a while to discover his inner “it”.
In the movie, a docu-drama (or shlock-u-drama), Elvis strolls into Sun Records, a small Memphis recording studio, to sing for Sam Phillips. Elvis sings like Bill Monroe; he sings like Bing Crosby; he sings like the other day’s news. Simply another singer. A dime a dozen.
뉴토끼 It wasn’t a quickie, even for Elvis, to find his initial voice. Ultimately he did find it.
What’s this got to do with entrepreneurs? Everything!
You got ta discover your initial voice. You got ta gain access to your Inner Elvis!
Do that and see your star shine.
